PTO Expedited Election Day

PTO – Corresponding Secretary: The PTO board is seeking parents interesting in serving on the PTO for the 2016-2017 school year. We are currently looking for candidate to fill the last spot for Corresponding Secretary.  The only qualification for all offices is that the candidate is a parent of a child currently enrolled at TAOTS.  If you are interested, please complete a Willingness to Serve form available here and return it back to your child’s Folder or showing up on the Expedited Election day with the Willingness to Serve form.

SLT: We are looking for one (1) parent member with positive leadership skills and the ability to commit to the duties of an SLT (School Leadership Team) Officer.

SLT Officer:  School Leadership Teams (SLTs) are school-based organizations composed of an equal number of parents and staff. They meet at least once a month, and determine the structure for school-based planning and shared decision-making.  The core responsibility of each SLT is to develop the school’s Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) that is aligned with the school based budget.  SLTs are strongly encouraged to solicit input from various school community constituencies in order to ensure that all voices are heard regarding the needs of students.  Functioning in a collaborative manner.  SLTs also help to evaluate the effectiveness of the school’s educational program and their impact on student achievement.  SLTs receive support and guidance as needed from their District Leadership Team.  If you are interested, please complete a Willingness to Serve form available here and return it back to your child’s Folder or showing up on the Expedited Election day with the Willingness to Serve form.
