Election Day Bake Sale 2013
The Election Day Bake Sale is Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at TAOTS! All proceeds benefit our students and school! Remember, students are encouraged to participate (with parents). There will be a lemonade stand for them to run, and they will have the opportunity to sell baked goods at their own student table.
How you can help:
- Please donate your favorite home-baked goods and pastries or fresh bakery-bought items.
- Volunteer to help sell items on the day of the bake sale.
- Donate non-perishable items (e.g. cups, juice, water, coffee, napkins, sugar, utensils, etc.).
Dropping Off Items:
If you have any difficulty in bringing by your donations at the designated time, please contact the co-organizers below as soon as possible to make other arrangements.
Baked goods and Perishable Items?
All baked goods should be dropped off on Monday, November 4th during the school morning drop off or afternoon dismissal.
- A parent volunteer will be near the gate to collect items during drop-off (7:40-8:15am) and pick-up (2:15 – 2:45pm) on Monday, Nov 4th
- Kindly send baked goods individually wrapped or cut into individual pieces or portions, if possible
- We ask that you bring the food in disposable containers or packaging
- Please include with your item(s) a slip of paper with your name, child’s class, and write “PTO Bake Sale”
Non-perishable items?
- A parent volunteer will be near the gate to collect non-perishable items during drop-off (7:40-8:15am) and pick-up (2:15 – 2:45pm) on November 1st
- You can also send item(s) with your child on the bus if you are unable to come on Friday
- Please include with your item(s) a slip of paper with your name, child’s class, and write “PTO Bake Sale”
Can I bring my child to the bake sale?
Since there is no school on Election Day, parents are welcome to bring their child to participate in the sale. Keep in mind that you are responsible for supervising your child at the event. No childcare services will be provided. It’s a great way for them to learn about giving back to their school. Participating children will receive an packet with fun, Election Day, related worksheets. We also ask that you also bring bring a book or project for your child to keep them occupied during periods of inactivity at their table.
Can I drop off my child at the Bake Sale?
No. All students who are helping must be accompanied and supervised by their parent. Students cannot be dropped off at the school.
